Finding Balance in Your Day-and Your Life
My yoga teacher once said to me, "You're very good at being busy."
At the time, I wasn't quite sure what she meant. I thought I was simply doing what needed to be done—work, family, responsibilities, and all the things that fill our days. But as I've gotten older, I understand exactly what she was talking about.

What Stephen Colbert Taught Me About Faith and Letting Go of the Good Stuff
Sometimes the things we grieve aren’t just the painful losses. Sometimes we grieve the things that brought us joy. This week, I found myself surprisingly emotional over the ending of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Through so much of the craziness happening in our country and around the world, Stephen has given me laughter. Perspective. Relief. A way to cope.

When You Know...Let it Go
Even when everything seems to be going well…when I feel aligned, grounded, and at peace…my mind can wander into darkness. And it frustrates me. Because the truth is, I feel deeply blessed. I have a wonderful family. Beautiful friendships. I’m doing the work. I love helping others feel joy, groundedness, and inner peace.
And yet…my mind still goes there.

A Love Letter to My Mind
This week, as many are honoring Passover and Easter—times of reflection, renewal, and new beginnings—I found myself turning inward. Not to the traditions, although I cherish them. Not to the rituals, though they bring comfort and connection. But to something deeper. A quiet awareness… that within each of us, there is a spirit. A presence that watches, that gently guides, that reminds us who we are beneath the noise.

From Fear to Self-Compassion: What My Two-Minute Talk Taught Me
What a scary experience I had this week. I gave a two-minute talk at an eWomenNetwork chapter event…just two minutes. That’s it. And somehow, those two minutes felt more intimidating than any workshop I’ve ever led. The interesting part? I won that speaking opportunity the month before—and from the moment I found out, I went straight into freak-out mode. For an entire month.
I even attended a two-day speaking workshop (Speakonomics) just to feel more prepared. I practiced.

What Lies Beneath the Noise: Unlocking your true essence
Meditation isn’t always easy for me. Like many of us, my mind can be a busy place. There’s often a long list of things that need to be done. Projects I’m working on. Deadlines. Responsibilities. The quiet hum of worry about what might not get finished. Fear, doubt, and endless to-do lists can quickly fill the mind and make it challenging to truly settle in.
But this day was different.

When Emotions Take The Wheel
When emotions rise quickly — especially fear or frustration — they can hijack us before we even realize what’s happening. And afterward, we’re often left feeling worse, replaying the moment and thinking about what we wish we had done differently.

S.E.L.F. Reflections: Stability (Mental Focus)
My eyes popped open this morning at 3:30 a.m., and my mind was already racing — reviewing my to-do list (including this Friday Flow!).
Today is a full one. Day two of Speakonomics, a workshop presented by eWomenNetwork (of which I’m a member). When it wraps at 4:00, I’ll head to my mom’s to visit with my brother and sister-in-law who are in from Tennessee. And then… dinner, dancing, and fun.

S.E.L.F. Reflections: Stability (Physical)
Stability. Environment. Love. Friendship For Growth, Grace, and the Greater Good Most afternoons around 2:00, I get the “dropsies.” I’m usually up by 5:30 am, so by then my body starts waving a little white flag. Brain fog. Yawning. Disengaging. All I want is a nap. Sound familiar? So what do you do when you’ve got a list of “to-do’s” you want to turn into “ta-da’s”… but you have zero energy to get there? Here’s my advice: STOP. Be still. Step away from your computer. Listen

A Silent Place in Turbulent Times
2026 has been quite a year so far.
So much turmoil permeates our TV, social media feeds, communities, and everyday conversations. It feels like it’s everywhere. These environmental factors invade our thoughts and emotions, and even though most of it is out of our control, it’s so easy to get caught up in it all. And when I do, it takes a toll.
